Jykk Snowscoot

Snowscooting emerged in Europe at the beginning of the 1990s. In Japan, our company, JykK Japan, already possessing substantial know-how in BMX and snowboarding, actively opened up the market and began selling Snowscoots in 1997. Since 2000, as a manufacturer engaged from development to production and sales of Snowscoots, we have been active in the overseas market as well.

As the number of Snowscoot riders has increased, more races are being held. In Japan, JykK Japan held a cross-country event called “Scooters Cross Japan Tour” from 1999 through 2002, when the tour was changed to the cross-country series “Japan Cross Game Masters” (as of 2009, the competition is suspended).

Many world-level contests have been developed and a Japanese team (JykK SNOWSCOOT® TEAM) won in the dual cross-country event in the world championship in France in 2004 - its first major victory. Now, Snowscooting itself is transitioning from its first generation to a second. With the overall rider population increasing, it includes now junior competitors as well as families where both parents and their children enjoy Snowscooting together. Popularity as a spectator sport is also on the rise.
